These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Atlas Browser, a free AI-enabled browser experience made available by Perplexity. By accessing or using Atlas Browser you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.

Service Description

Atlas Browser layers conversational search, summarization, and workspace features on top of standard web browsing. The service is offered without charge during the current open beta and may change over time.

Eligibility and Access

Atlas Browser is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and approved your use.
No account is required to explore the service. Certain experiments or future capabilities may optionally request sign-in; when that happens you will see additional notices and terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Atlas Browser in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Attempt to disable, interfere with, or reverse engineer the service or underlying models.
Submit malicious code, bots, automated queries, or scraping routines that degrade performance or security.
Misrepresent Atlas Browser outputs as professional advice (financial, medical, legal, or otherwise) or use the service to generate harmful, deceptive, or abusive content.

Perplexity may suspend or terminate access for behavior that violates these Terms or harms other users.

AI Output and Accuracy

Atlas Browser relies on AI models that may produce outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate information. Use the provided citations and sources to verify important details. You are responsible for how you apply the output.

Intellectual Property

Atlas Browser, including its interface, underlying models, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Perplexity or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain rights to the content you contribute, but grant Perplexity a non-exclusive license to process that content for the purpose of providing and improving the service.

Third-Party Links and Services

Atlas Browser may surface links to external websites or integrate third-party tools. Perplexity does not control and is not responsible for third-party content or practices. Accessing external sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

Your use of Atlas Browser is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Atlas Browser is provided "as is" and "as available." Perplexity makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability and disclaims all implied warranties to the extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Perplexity will not be liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data, arising from or related to your use of Atlas Browser.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Perplexity, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of Atlas Browser or breach of these Terms.

Changes to These Terms

Perplexity may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, when appropriate, providing additional notice. Continued use of Atlas Browser after changes become effective signifies acceptance of the revised Terms.
